<p>The<strong> Oklahoma City Thunder </strong>are supposed to be the same franchise as the <strong>Seattle Supersonics, </strong>who were crowned in 1979. However, the team has yet to win in its new city, and if the league expansion becomes a reality, the Sonics will most likely come back and demand their championship back.</p>

<p>The <strong>Brooklyn Nets</strong> were ABA champions, but haven’t been able to find that same success since the merger. Not even having<strong> Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden </strong>on the same team was enough to get them over the hump, and it might be a very long while before they’re back to championship contention.</p>

<p>Likewise, the<strong> Indiana Pacers</strong> also won during their days in the ABA, but they haven’t been much of a force since the merger. They were close to knocking <strong>Michael Jordan</strong> out to make the NBA Finals, but fell short, and then they were swept by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2000 edition with an aging <strong>Reggie Miller </strong>far from his prime. <p>The <strong>Memphis Grizzlies</strong> are one of the youngest franchises in the league, so it’s not that surprising to see that they’re ringless. They were a perennial contender during the ‘grit-and-grind’ era, and they’ll be good for years to come with<strong> Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr.</strong>, but they need to keep developing and be more mature to reach the NBA Finals.</p>



<h2>Charlotte Hornets</h2>

Now, owned by Michael Jordan — literally this time — they’ve struggled to be at their best, and they need to put more talent around<strong> LaMelo Ball</strong> to be a legit playoff team.</p>



<h2>Minnesota Timberwolves</h2>

<p><strong>Kevin Garnett</strong> was one of the greatest two-way forces this league had ever seen. However, the league punished the <strong>Minnesota Timberwolves </strong>for breaking their financial policy, stripping them of multiple first-round picks. That prevented them from giving Garnett the help he needed to reach the NBA Finals, and the franchise has been a bottom-feeder since he left.</p>



<h2>New Orleans Pelicans</h2>

<p>The <strong>New Orleans Pelicans</strong> are another young franchise. They play in a small-market team, and may struggle to retain their top-notch players for long. Also, with<strong> Zion Williamson </strong>missing more time than most players, it’s hard to envision them being a legit contender at any point in the near future.</p>

<p>The <strong>Los Angeles Clippers</strong> spent most of their history living on the Los Angeles Lakers shadow and being a not-so-good team. The <strong><a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/nba" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NBA</a> will likely make an example out of him.</strong></p>



<p>Morant has every righ<strong>t to bear as many firearms as he can. But Commissioner Adam Silver</strong> made it clear that he won’t tolerate him showing them off on social media, given that he’s one of the faces of the league.</p>



<p>However,<strong> ESPN analyst <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/offside/The-incredible-salaries-of-your-favorite-sports-analysts-20200515-0001.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Stephen A. Smith</a></strong> isn’t even worried as Ja as a basketball player. Instead, he fears Morant might not even be alive five years from now if he doesn’t turn his life around.</p>

<p><em>“People within the NBA community are not just concerned about Ja Morant playing basketball, <strong>they’re concerned whether or not he’s gonna be alive in five years because of the environments he finds himself around and the situations he finds himself confronted by,</strong></em>” Stephen A. told Rich Eisen. <em>“It’s a serious matter and I think it’s something that the NBA and anybody who knows anything about the kind of things that are going on with him, needs to find themselves concerned about.”</em></p>

<h2>Stephen A. Says Morant Shouldn’t Be Suspended For A Year</h2>



<p>But as worried as he is about Morant, Stephen A. still believes<strong> he shouldn’t be suspended for a year</strong>. The league wants to make an example out of it and will likely lay the hammer on him:</p>



<p><em>“Adam Silver pretty much indicated that he knows what he’s going to do, but he doesn’t want it to be a distraction from the NBA Finals,” </em>Smith said on his podcast. <strong><em>“We know it’s not good news. Because if it was good news, why not just announce it and move on with the Finals? There are some people who are saying Ja Morant should be suspended for the year.”</em></strong></p>



<p>“<em>Let me be very, very clear I will be the first to raise holy hell with all that I have if he is suspended for the year. I understand that he has impugned the integrity of the league, but </em><strong><em>it shouldn’t be a year. It shouldn’t even be half the season. If he ends up getting a 25-game suspension, I think that’s fair,</em>“</strong> he added.</p>

<p>Whatever the case, Morant put himself in this position, so he has to deal with the consequences now. <strong>No one put a gun to his head</strong> — no pun intended, and he did get away once.</p>
