<p>That win over the Marlins likely brought <strong>some relief to Machado and the rest of the team,</strong> as it snapped a frustrating three-game losing streak at Petco Park — a skid that dated back to May 18, when they were swept at home by the Mariners.</p>

<p>However, Game 2 against the Marlins stands out as his worst:<strong> it was the first time Romano allowed 6 runs, 6 hits, and 2 home runs in a single appearance.</strong> It was a disaster—one that hadn’t happened to him before. Since 2019, he had never allowed more than 3 runs in a game.</p>
