<p>The relationship between <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/peyton-manning-t149362" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Peyton Manning</strong></a> and Tom Brady was really good. The 2x NFL champion created a big rivalry with the Patriots legend and even though they starred in big duels over the years, Manning and Brady had a close friendship.</p>
<p>That indirectly affected Brady’s decision to sign with the Bucs, according to the team’s quarterback coach. Clyde Christensen explained on Wednesday’s edition of “The Zach Gelb Show” that seeing Peyton do what he did in Denver inspired Brady to sign with the NFC South team.</p>
<p><em>“[Brady] said one of the things that looked really fun and challenging to him is what Peyton did in Denver,” Christensen said, via USA TODAY. “There was something about that challenge that hit (Brady) right. ‘Hey, I’m going to go see if I can do this again somewhere else.’ “</em></p>
<p>In case you don’t know or remember, Peyton played with the Indianapolis Colts the big part of his career, becoming one of the best names in the game, leading that team to win the Super Bowl in 2007 against the Chicago Bears.</p>
<p>Eight years later, he would win his second Vince Lombardi trophy with the Denver Broncos, beating the favorites Carolina Panthers led by the 2015 NFL MVP Cam Newton. As you could notice, there are a lot of similarities between Peyton and Brady’s first titles with their new franchises.</p>

<p>NFL Network correspondent Adam Schefter, one of the best people at his job, recently claimed that if the New Orleans Saints didn’t have Drews Brees back this season, Tom Brady would have taken that spot at the Mercedes Benz Superdome.</p>
<p>Joining The Rich Eisen Show, Schefter made the big revelation, suggesting that Brady would have gone to New Orleans to replace Drew Brees if he decided to call it a career after the 2020 NFL season.</p>
<p><em>“If he hadn’t come back, I really believe that there’s a chance that Tom Brady would have been the Saints quarterback this year. And he would have been playing in New Orleans not yet but that’s a different story.</em></p>
<p><em>“And so he came back now what is going through his mind once he steps away? There are so many players that plan to retire, wanna retire, and then to actually get them to it’s not a simple thing.</em></p>

That didn’t happen in the end and they were 3rd in their division after one season with Cam Newton as their signal-caller.</p>
<p>Now they’re once again without a talented quarterback but that has opened plenty of doors for the team. They have been linked with <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/nfl/nfl-trade-rumors-the-only-way-patriots-can-get-deshaun-watson-20210203-0003.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Deshaun Watson</a>, <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/nfl/nfl-rumors-new-england-patriots-could-trade-for-marcus-mariota-this-offseason-20210209-0013.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Marcus Mariota</a> and were linked with Matthew Stafford at some point. Yet,we don’t know but they could even try to make a move for Russell Wilson if he decides to leave the Seattle Seahawks.</p>
<p>Moreover, one analyst explained that they could take a look at one player who already wore their jersey and did it very well and a reunion with the Pats wouldn’t be crazy. While Cam Newton is still on the radar of the team, there are more names they should pay attention to.</p>

<p>During a recent edition of ESPN’s “First Take,” Max Kellerman and Stephen A. Smith were debating about the chances of the Patriots to land a star quarterback this offseason. While Stephen A. said they should keep Newton, Kellerman made the case for Jimmy Garoppolo and a return to Foxborough.</p>
<p><em>“I believe Jimmy G’s gonna be available. I think Bill Belichick values Jimmy Garoppolo,” Kellerman said. “I think this (Tom) Brady-Belichick thing is not over, although Brady’s in a big lead right now. And I think that Garoppolo, when you consider the money — it’s not what the premier quarterbacks make; it was really more of an upper-middle-class contract than an elite kind of contract. And Garoppolo does the thing that Belichick really likes from his quarterback: He gets the ball out quickly.</em></p>

<p>Let’s remember that Jimmy G had to replace Tom Brady during the season he was suspended for the deflategate controversy and the player did it very well until he went down with an injury. He was expected to be the QB of the future for this franchise but with Brady playing the way he played and is still playing, Garoppolo wasn’t happy in New England.</p>
<p>He was shipped to San Francisco and the 49ers actually reached the Super Bowl with him as their leader. He missed the entire 2020/21 season with an injury and recent reports suggested the 29-year-old player could be involved in a trade for Deshaun Watson.</p>
<p>Another option for him, if somehow the Niners decide they don’t need him anymore, is to go to New England and have his revenge without Brady being around. That would be huge for both parties but it’s still unclear how they would make this work. But hey, when Bill Belichick wants something, he uses every available resource to get it.</p>

<p>Only they and the San Diego Chargers seriously pursued Brady in <a href="https://us.bolavip.com/nfl-t20281" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>NFL</strong></a> free agency and Bruce Arians’s team was the one who landed the player in a big move that really paid off for the Floridians and their chances to make it to the playoffs and play for the title.</p>

<p><em>“I think his competitive spirit is so strong that he wanted to do it,” Arians told Ray Lewis of Showtime, via JoeBucsFan.com, regarding Brady’s motivation. “He wanted to show people. I’ve never said anything bad about Bill Belichick; I know everybody tries to say I do. His record speaks for itself. He is probably the greatest one ever. But I think [Brady] wanted to try a different way.”</em></p>
<p>Arians and Brady exchanged a couple of comments during the first weeks of the season, with people thinking there were some issues between them but they worked it out, or they never existed, and the Bucs had a very good run to the Super Bowl, beating big rivals on their way to the championship.</p>
<p>Next year, Brady will have the chance to prove this season was for real Tampa Bay fans can’t wait to see what else he will bring. We will see his return to Foxborough in the next campaign and that moment will be very emotional for the veteran.</p>

<p>Hall of Famer Terrell Owens recently claimed that the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has had a better career than Tom Brady, at least in the early stages of it. The former wide receiver joined “Speak for Yourself” to talk about the upcoming game, making the comparison between Mahomes and Brady.</p>
<p>He explained that TB12 didn’t reach greatness until later in his career and on the other hand, Mahomes has been great since day one and he’s about to play in his second Super Bowl in three years.</p>
<p><em>“When you talk about what they’ve done in the infancy stage of their careers, Patrick Mahomes edges out Tom Brady because Brady didn’t become Tom Brady the great of all time that everybody is talking about right now until later on in his career,”</em></p>
