Cleveland Browns’ wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr has a lot of free time right now. Even though his team are about to play in the NFL postseason for the first time since 2002, OBJ has been paying attention to more American sports.
Recently, he decided to talk about the NBA and what was one of the hottest topics in the league until a couple of days ago: James Harden and his future with the Houston Rockets. The shooting guard reportedly asked to be traded from Houston before the start of the season and he’s yet to get his wish granted.
Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers are seen as the favorite teams to acquire Harden’s services but the Beard is still on the Rockets until further notice. That’s why Odell decided to chime in and explained where he could play next and what would be the result of him joining a new team.
Odell Beckham says James Harden would be “deadly” on the Warriors
OBJ took to Twitter to talk about Harden and his future in the league, dropping an idea that could be very appealing for his team and his hypothetical new destination. The talented wideout believes that Harden would be great playing in Golden State.
“James Harden to the warriors would be deadly…..” he wrote on Twitter.
A potential arrival of Harden in Golden State has been discussed in recent days but nothing is certain now. The Warriors have a lot of things to figure out after they stopped being that dominant team that ruined Harden’s plans to become an NBA champion.
Stephen Curry has been doing interesting stuff in recent games but that doesn’t assure that the Warriors will win the title this year. An association with Harden would be indeed lethal but the Dubs should give more than necessary to make that deal a reality.
It seems like OBJ would accept that trade in a blink, but the Warriors would need to give a lot of players plus draft picks for a man like James Harden. It would be a risky decision but we’ve seen crazier things in the NBA in the past.
