Patrick Mahomes has been one of the best players in the NFL since he started his career with the Kansas City Chiefs. The talented quarterback already has an impressive résumé and he’s not planning to stop anytime soon.

Pat is set to have a terrific career with the Chiefs and everything points out that he will be part of the GOAT conversation once his time in the NFL is finishing. The things he’s doing right now are just remarkable but not everybody is convinced he should be part of that conversation just yet.

Legendary QB Brett Favre, for instance, has made the clear against Mahomes, explaining that he’s just starting his career and still has a lot to play and live before fans put him among the greatest to ever do it.

Brett Favre explains why Patrick Mahomes shouldn’t be considered the GOAT yet

After a solid campaign with the Chiefs, posting outstanding numbers, Mahomes is seen as a pretty good candidate for the GOAT honor, but Favre isn’t so convinced about that. During a recent discussion with Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman of ESPN, the Green Bay Packers legend have a simple explanation ast to why that’s just wrong right now.

He is great, but he needs to play many more years, which if he does, there is no question that he is in the conversation.” Favre summed it all by saying that Mahomes was “too young”.

“The guy is great, we all agree, the guy is great, what he’s accomplished so far is outstanding,” he added.

Pat already has one NFL MVP award under his belt and this season he’s trying to repeat that. So far he’s recorded 25 touchdowns and only 1 interception over the course of 9 games. His rating as a quarterback stands at a solid 115.9.
