If Aaron Rodgers were to retire today, he’d be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, without a question. He’s put up a remarkable, flawless career and, even though some believe he should have won more than one ring, he’s still a Super Bowl champion.

Rodgers is considered one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, and some even call him the greatest thrower of the football ever, and for very good reasons. From a pure, old-school quarterback standpoint, he’s tailor-made.

Aaron showed no signs of slowing down at age 37. If anything, he’s having a career year and playing some of the best football of his career, proving the Green Bay Packers and the rest of the NFL that he’s far from done.

Did Aaron Rodgers Hint At His Retirement?

Nonetheless, number 12 raised some eyebrows with his latest comments about his future. When asked if he thinks that this will be his final shot at another Super Bowl ring, Rodgers’ response was somewhat concerning:

“I hope there’s more opportunities, but I don’t know. I really don’t. That’s outside of my control. My future is a beautiful mystery, I think,”Rodgers said, according to Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

Not many players manage to perform at the highest level at 37 years old. Hell, just a handful of guys play that long in the NFL. But judging by his play, it looks like Rodgers might as well emulate Tom Brady and still be dominant at 40+.

The Packers are set to host the NFC Championship Game for the first time in Rodgers’ career, hoping to have another shot at the Vince Lombardi trophy. Hopefully, there will be many more playoff football for Rodgers and the Cheeseheads ahead of them.
