Kyle Shanahan will have new offensive weapons available this week for the San Francisco 49ers, one of whom is Ricky Pearsall, who will finally be back for the Week 11 game against the Cardinals. It is refreshing news for the offensive line.
Shanahan spoke with KNBR, where he revealed that Pearsall will be ready for this week. As early as November 12, the head coach had been notified by the training staff that the wide receiver was ready to return.
On November 12, Pearsall was also seen running in practice, though in a limited capacity, showing improvement. Matt Lively reported on X: “Ricky Pearsall is back at practice, cuts here and tests his knee. Limited today.” The 49ers now have one of their best wide receivers back.
Pearsall says he feels good
In his most recent statement, Pearsall said he is starting to feel like the player everyone was accustomed to seeing: “I started feeling like myself probably just this week. Anytime I start feeling like myself that’s when I’m ready to go.”
With Pearsall back and the 49ers having confirmed the starter between Purdy and Jones, the team regains a player who knows the offense well. He is likely to contribute against the Cardinals as expected, potentially adding some decisive receiving yards.
The 49ers’ situation heading into Week 11
The 49ers’ record stands at 6-4, placing them currently outside the Wild Card race heading into Week 11. However, they have more than enough time to climb the standings and steal one of those spots.
For now, the fight in the NFC West is tougher than anticipated, with both the Rams and Seahawks sitting at 7-2, making the situation complicated but far from hopeless.
