Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers were interested in a trade with the Saints to acquire Chris Olave. However, according to a report by Albert Breer, New Orleans rejected the offer.
“The Saints got inquiries from the Browns and Steelers early in the offseason and rebuffed them. Olave’s had a really nice offseason since. Maybe someone blows New Orleans away with an offer, but, he’s not on the block. I have a hard time thinking he’s going to be traded.”
In recent days, several reports indicate that the Steelers are waiting for Aaron Rodgers to sign with them before pursuing a wide receiver who can play alongside DK Metcalf. Olave would still be an option with an attractive package.

Although Omar Khan and Mike Tomlin have said they are comfortable with Calvin Austin III, Roman Wilson, and Robert Woods, the reality is that the team needs a playmaker who can replace George Pickens.
If Aaron Rodgers ends up in Pittsburgh, an immediate-impact WR2 would be essential for the veteran, since the position currently doesn’t look strong considering the potential that offense could have had with Pickens and Metcalf.
