The Baltimore Ravens are a Super Bowl contender, that’s for sure. Having a two-time MVP as quarterback is one of the keys to be in a good position. Lamar Jackson is about the best you can have in the NFL. Now, it seems like he is ready to evolve into an even better version of himself.

Jackson recently appeared on ‘Cold as Balls’ with Kevin Hart. He stated that the Ravens are “extremely close” to winning the Super Bowl. But here’s the warning every other team in the NFL should really be scared of. “As I’ve been getting older in the league, my mindset has been different and the game has gotten a lot easier for me,Jackson said.

When looking at the roster and at Jackson’s numbers, it seems like the stars are aligning for the Ravens to finally get their coveted ring. Lamar promised the Ravens a Super Bowl ring when they drafted him, and this might just be the year.

Lamar’s teammates need to join him in the warzone

Last year, the Ravens lost plenty of games by milimeters, literally. Whether it was a fumble near the goal line, or a toe out of bounds in a game-winning play, Baltimore couldn’t catch a break.

Mark Andrews #89 of the Baltimore Ravens celebrates a win over the Seattle Seahawks at M&T Bank Stadium on November 05, 2023 in Baltimore, Maryland.

One of the players that needs to step up back to his top level is tight end Mark Andrews. For most of his career, he has been the safest weapon for Lamar Jackson. However, last year was a rollercoaster for him. While he got 673 yards and 11 touchdowns, the start and end of the season were absolutely disastrous for him. The season ended on a Mark Andrews drop that would’ve meant the win.

The AFC North has a playoff debt

While the Ravens might feel like they have a debt winning the Super Bowl, the whole AFC North is having a serious success debt. Since having Lamar, the Ravens are 3-5 in the playoffs, but when you look at the rest of the division, it’s not only them.

Known as one of the toughest divisions in football, the AFC North teams might just get too tired to the playoffs. Cincinnati hasn’t even gone to the playoffs in the last two years despite having Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase. The Steelers are 0-5 in the postseason since 2018. The Browns well, their last playoff win was back in 2020.
