Atletico Madrid have had to deal with coming from behind in Spanish soccer. With Barcelona and Real Madrid as the dominant sides, the Colchoneros got used to competing against everything and everyone, which is why their good work earned them worldwide recognition.
A club that has always had a loyal fanbase, it has been the third force in the country behind the two giants, and it learned how to grow and keep up with those rivals’ level. In the last years, we’ve seen an Atleti that strengthened themselves and fought back against the Merengues and Cules.
Even though they haven’t succeeded as much as their city rivals nor the Catalans, Atletico Madrid have always been the ones who got closer to the pair’s kingdom and threatened to end it in many seasons. Here, let’s take a look at all their titles.
