With the summer transfer window already behind us, there’s still a long way to go before the winter market. However, clubs from the European top five leagues are already thinking about what their next moves will be.
Manchester City haven’t been very busy heading into the 2021-2022 season, as they only splashed the cash on Jack Grealish, but they are reportedly making plans to complete more signings in the short term.
While the media has linked them to a figure of Premier League rivals, the Citizens have also made the headlines for their interest in one of AC Milan‘s best players at the moment.
AC Milan to demand at least €65m for Hernandez
Over the last few days, Pep Guardiola has been rumored to be looking forward to bringing France international and Milan left-back Theo Hernandez to the Etihad Stadium. The former Real Madrid player has made an impression and his stock has risen.
Hernandez, 23, is under contract at the San Siro until 2024, which is why Milan wouldn’t be in a rush to sell him. According to Calciomercato, the Rossoneri are unwilling to sell unless they receive an offer between €65m and €70m.
Expensive as it may sound, the Citizens are wealthy enough to satisfy the Italians’ demands if they’re truly interested in landing Theo Hernandez. The season has just started, though, and we’ll probably have to wait to see how this situation unfolds.
