Bo Bichette emerged as one of the superheroes who powered the Toronto Blue Jays on their run to the World Series, a championship they ultimately lost to the Dodgers. Following the Game 7 defeat, however, a tearful Bichette stated that Toronto has been his desired destination from the very start.

“I’ve said I want to be here from the beginning,” Bichette reiterated to reporters multiple times after the game. He also made it clear that the teammates with whom he reached the World Series will always hold a special place for him.

“I’ll remember this group forever,” said Bichette, who had a .348 average with 8 hits in 23 at-bats during the World Series. “This group has taught me what a team is. I think it’s probably the most valuable lesson of my career.”

Guerrero Jr. could be key to Bichette remaining in Toronto

Guerrero Jr. apparently shares a close friendship with Bichette, as he clearly stated after the game, “I would love to finish my career playing with him,” referring to his teammate, whose contract with the Blue Jays has expired. This statement also serves as a strong message to the front office to offer Bichette a new contract.
