Aaron Rodgers’ arrival in Pittsburgh at this stage of his career had a single goal: to feel vital for the Steelers and return to the playoffs. With Mike Tomlin leading the squad from the sidelines, that primary objective now seems to be gradually coming to fruition.
After the big Monday Night Football win over the Dolphins, it looks like the AFC North race is taking shape, even though the Ravens show no signs of slowing down. For now, Rodgers feels very comfortable with the franchise and knows that if they keep performing this way, they can keep moving forward.
“If we can take care of business then we’re going to be hosting a game right here,” he told Lisa Salters on ESPN. “That’s why I wanted to come back, to be part of something special. It’s a great organization, we’re playing meaningful games. We’re up by a game in the division. A lot left to play for.”
The last time Rodgers played in a postseason game was with the Green Bay Packers. Nearing the twilight of his career, he’s now just a few games away from returning to the playoffs—and perhaps even dreaming of another Super Bowl run.

The Steelers’ final stretch
The Pittsburgh Steelers face a critical three-game stretch to close out their season. They must first contend with two tough road matchups: a trip to take on the Detroit Lions and a divisional clash against the Cleveland Browns.
Their final, and most crucial, contest is a home game versus the rival Baltimore Ravens. The Steelers have a chance to secure a playoff berth in this season finale against the Ravens, in what is expected to be a dramatic, winner-take-all showdown.
