Yadier Molina is the most iconic player in the St. Louis Cardinals’ recent history and one of the most loved and respected in the history of the organization. The Puerto Rican catcher has given everything to the Cards and wants to finish his career with the team.

However, that doesn’t seem to be very clear right now and Molida has made it clear that more teams are trying to lure him away from St. Louis. Yadi is 38 but he’s still a valuable player in the league and if the Cards don’t pull the trigger on this move, there are other teams trying to snatch the veteran catcher.

During a recent interview, Molina revealed that in the case the Cardinals don’t offer him a new contract, other MLB teams are willing to bring him in for the next season, including one with plenty of Latin American players.

Yadier Molina reveals various teams are looking to acquire his services

Talking with Laura Bonnelly, Molina revealed that a series of teams are interested in his services, including the San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Angels, New York Yankees and New York Mets, among others.

All these teams could use Molina’s talents and all of them have made a presence in the postseason this past campaign. However, the 38-year-old has made it clear that he wants to play two more seasons, preferably with St. Louis before planning his retirement.

If any of these teams want to take Yadi’s talents, they need to offer no more than two years and a really compelling offer since Molina’s desire is to retire with his first and only team in the Majors. Molina is a 9x All-Star, has won 2 World Series, nine Gold Glove awards and four platinum glove awards.

He’s already a legend and wants to continue his legacy, but only time will tell where he’s playing next season.
