The Los Angeles Dodgers are experiencing a stellar phase this regular season. Commanding a six-game lead over the second-placed team in the National League West standings and riding a three-game winning streak, the Dodgers, featuring standout player Shohei Ohtani, are performing at an exceptional level. Remarkably, one of Ohtani’s teammates recently reached a rare milestone previously set by MLB legend Jimmie Foxx.

In a commanding 8-1 victory over the Colorado Rockies, the Dodgers continued their march towards the MLB postseason. While Ohtani scored two runs in the game, it was the performances of two other teammates that garnered attention, as they both hit two home runs each for the Dodgers.

One of these standout players was Max Muncy. Now in his eighth year wearing the Dodgers’ jersey and boasting a ten-year MLB career, Muncy has just equaled a rare record first set by Foxx. Muncy achieved this milestone from May 31st onward, whereas Foxx accomplished it over the entire 1938 regular season.
