The new-look Los Angeles Lakers are scary. For better or worse, everybody around the NBA has a take about them, and while some feel like they're just too old to win a championship, they're just too stacked with talent.

Rob Pelinka was perhaps the most aggressive executive this offseason. He traded away some players, let go of others, and convinced several veterans to team up and bring yet another banner for the STAPLES Center.

Fit aside, some insiders have questioned the fact that the Lakers locker room will now feature plenty of strong characters. Rajon Rondo, Russell Westbrook, Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony, and LeBron James, just to name a few.

Lakers News: Anthony Davis Wasn't Pleased With Dennis Schroder

Then again, it seems like this revamped roster might as well help ease some chemistry issues from last season. According to Bleacher Report's Eric Pinus, Anthony Davis wasn't pleased with the looks he got from Dennis Schroder, and that was one of the reasons why they didn't bring him back:

"Per an NBA source familiar with some of the Lakers' struggles through the 2020-21 campaign, Davis felt some frustration that he wasn't getting the kind of looks in the post with Dennis Schroder running the point compared to those he received with Rondo a year earlier. That may have contributed to the Lakers choosing not to re-sign Schroder, who struggled to find a home in free agency before taking a one-year, $5.9 million contract with the Boston Celtics," reported Pinus.

Dennis Schroder infamously turned down a massive contract extension from the Lakers and that turned out to be a blessing in disguise for them. They wound up trading for Westbrook and adding Kendrick Nunn and Rajon Rondo via free agency, while Schroder had to settle for a non-lucrative deal in Boston.

Schroder was often reluctant to commit to the Lakers and had even said that he didn't want to play for them when he was still with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Also, there were some rumors of a bit of a feud between him and Kyle Kuzma. So, maybe his departure is going to do wonders for them both on and off the court.
