Anthony Davis’ free-agency decision has to be the worst-kept secret around the NBA. Everybody knows that he’s poised to re-sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, although the details of that extension are yet to be determined.

However, The Brow has decided to act as if the whole world didn’t saw him saying that he was bound to ‘Run it back’ next season after winning his first-ever NBA Championship in the bubble in Orlando.

That’s why he blatantly lied to all of our faces in his most recent interview with Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports who reached out to him to discuss the future of the Lakers and the addition of Dennis Schroder.

Haynes asked him about his take on Dennis Schroder and how that would affect his team, with Davis simply replying “I don’t have a team, Chris,” as he recently opted out of the final year of his contract.

Then again, we all know that’s just a loophole in the NBA’s CBA to allow him to sign a new deal worthy of more money with the Los Angeles Lakers, as there’s just no chance he’ll leave after what he accomplished next to LeBron James.

Davis and James were the most dominant duo in the league and it wasn’t even close. They played lockdown defense and got along perfectly in the offensive end of the floor from day one, so he’s not leaving.

Moreover, Anthony Davis and LeBron James are both represented by Klutch Sports and Rich Paul. Los Angeles gave up a lot to lure him away from the New Orleans Pelicans, and they would have never done that unless he gave them a verbal commitment upfront. So, if you’re a fan of a different team, we wouldn’t recommend you get excited about Davis’ ‘free-agency’.
