For the third time in his lustrous career, Dwight Howard is set to join the Los Angeles Lakers. This time, one year off winning an NBA Championship and after a short stint with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Howard was supposed to run it back with the Lakers last season and even tweeted that he was signing a one-year deal with the team before infamously deleting it to join Doc Rivers' team. Now, he's back to the STAPLES Center.

But, as you may know by now, Howard doesn't just leave. He loves to stir the pot on his way out, as he proved by taking a friendly shot at his former teammate Ben Simmons for his terrible shooting.

Dwight Howard Makes Fun Of Ben Simmons On Instagram

"Philly. Philly. Philly. If a picture could describe my experience in Philly this the one. Pure love and joy. I’m sad our time together was short. But I must say I enjoyed every single moment. I am gonna definitely miss Philly and the city and all the fans. Y’all showed me so much love. And it did not go unnoticed. I love you. Thank you to the city of BROTHERLY LOVE. PHILADELPHIA. Imma miss my frosty chants with the crowd. To my brothers. This year we came up short. But we had an amazing season. Thank you to the entire 76er staff. We will always be family. And Ben. Bend ya kneeeesss," wrote Howard on Instagram.

The only thing that makes this even funnier is the fact that Howard is infamous for being one of the worst free-throw shooters of all time, a distinction that could also fit Simmons unless he puts some work on his craft.

Simmons' poor - and lack of - shooting cost the Sixers once again in the playoffs and he was exposed as badly as he'll ever be. Hopefully, all the jokes will fuel and motivate him to work on one of the few flaws in his game.
