Heatās Jimmy Butler explains how being an NBA star can be tough
People often believe playersā lives are quite simple and easy with all the money they make and the fame they have. But, even though it seems obvious, sometimes they ignore the fact theyāre human beings and they also have their own problems.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Jimmy Butler explained how being a popular person prevents him from having privacy and time with his family without being asked for a picture or asked about basketball.
āI think one of the hardest things about being a celebrity is that you canāt go be a parent from time to time. I hate that I canāt take my daughter to the zoo because everyone wants to talk basketball or take a photo. To my daughter, Iām just her dad, she doesnāt know any different,ā Butler said.
āI hate that I canāt take her to the park because there are kids who are out playing basketball and (they say), āHey, letās go play.ā I love you kids, but I literally just want to be a dad right now. A lot of times I just try to do a lot of things with her around the house, or Iāll get on my bike and put her on the back of it, stuff like that, where it can just be us.ā
At the end of the day, everyone has their own issues and weāre not in a positionto judge if they are right or wrong for feeling how they do. Of course Butler canenjoy manythings thanks to his sporting career, but itās absolutely respectableif he wishes to have more privacy.
