The 2021/2022 NBA season kicks off tomorrow night and the Golden State Warriors have no easy task as they kick off their season against the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James. They will have to do it without guard Avery Bradley who was cut from the team over the weekend.

According to The Athletic two Warrior legends Stephen Curry and Draymond Green were not happy with the decision to cut the 30-year-old. The report indicates that Curry and Green thought that Bradley’s performance in preseason, the reason he was cut, was not important as they saw Bradley as a player that can help the team in a playoff run.

Curry and Green fought hard to keep the veteran but ultimately coach Steve Kerr made the decision to the dismay of the team’s biggest players.

It has been reported that the Warriors are trying to fill the last roster spot in the squad with a “dependable” player and while Green and Curry may have liked Bradley for the long haul, Bradley was not impressive in preseason. Bradley was signed on September 24th and was cut over the weekend.

The Warriors have a “California” start to the season with the Lakers and Clippers, two direct rivals as their first two games of the season. Sacramento Kings close out the first three games of the year for Golden State. The Warriors had a disappointing season last year, but this year are primed to make a run for the NBA title.
