Very few players excel at two positions the way Travis Hunter does. At Colorado, he made impactful plays on both offense and defense, shining as both a wide receiver and a cornerback.

Under the guidance of Deion Sanders, who also played both positions during his NFL career, Hunter developed his skills on both sides of the ball. However, given the physical demands of today’s NFL, it’s nearly impossible to play both roles full-time.

While Hunter is considered a top-tier prospect, many teams believe he must commit to one position at the next level. Now, he’s put an end to the speculation by revealing his stance.

Speaking to Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com, Hunter said that whether he plays primarily as a cornerback or wide receiver “depends on the team that picks me.”

Hunter has consistently said he’s capable of playing every snap on offense and defense, but some teams may not be comfortable with such a workload. Leaving the decision to the team could actually improve his draft stock, as his versatility gives franchises the option to bolster the side of the ball that needs the most help.
