The New England Patriots could be really interested in having a new quarterback. Bill Belichick made a bold move recently that could lead to the AFC East team pursuing Lamar Jackson, who doesn’t want to continue with the Baltimore Ravens anymore.

Lamar Jackson wants to play for a different team in 2023. The quarterback is not happy with how the Ravens are treating him and he wants to leave as soon as possible.

One of the teams he has reached is New England. Robert Kraft, Patriots owner, said Bill Belichick hasthe last word regarding this matter. Now, the head coach could have opened the door for Jackson’s arrival with his latest move.

Lamar Jackson’s days as a member of the Baltimore Ravens could be over soon. He’s looking for a team interested in giving away two first-round picks for him and, surprisingly, the Patriots could be them.

In recent days, Lamar Jackson made contact with the Patriots to let them know his interest in playing for them. Mac Jones is the starter, but this could take a massive change soon.

According to ProFootballTalk, the Patriots have shopped Mac Jones to multiple teams this offseason. Bill Belichick is no longer comfortable with the 2021 first-rounder as the tension between both members of the squad has increased a lot recently.

The teams mentioned as potential destinations are the Commanders, Texans, Raiders and Buccaneers. However, Las Vegas and Tampa Bay have already signed a quarterback and it is unlikely that they pursue Jones this year.

As for Lamar Jackson, this move could open the opportunity for him to land in New England, even though Jones doesn’t leave. Belichick could sit the 24-year-old for the 2019 NFL MVP and compete once again in a very tough AFC East.
