While the New York Giants have set their conditions for the return of Odell Beckham Jr., a potential reunion remains on the table. Another player who has shown interest in returning to the Big Apple—with a clear message—is Jason Pierre-Paul, who already knows what it takes to win a Super Bowl with the franchise.
“I’m still available and ready to take on some OT’s and dominate in run-stop football the GIANTS WAY. Let’s make it happen, Giant Fans, Giant Nation Let’s go!! I know I know I know,” the linebacker stated con his X account.
The veteran already owns two SB rings—one with Giants and another with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers alongside Tom Brady. Can he fulfill his goal of returning to East Rutherford for one last dance?
Pierre-Paul’s stint with the Giants
During his eight-season tenure with the New York Giants (2010–2017), Jason Pierre-Paul recorded 58.5 sacks, 432 total tackles, and 13 forced fumbles across 111 regular-season games. His standout campaign came in 2011, when he tallied a career-high 16.5 sacks and earned First-team All-Pro honors while helping the team win Super Bowl XLVI.

Despite his 2015 hand injury, he remained a force in New York, contributing two defensive touchdowns and 47 passes defended before being traded to Tampa Bay in 2018.
Options for Harbaugh at that position
Under John Harbaugh‘s new defensive leadership for the 2026 season, the New York Giants boast an intriguing mix of talent at linebacker and edge rusher. Abdul Carter stands as the cornerstone of this unit, looking to build on a promising 2025 rookie campaign where he proved to be a versatile playmaker.
Kayvon Thibodeaux remains a primary figure in the pass rush, though his role continues to be a major talking point as the team adapts to Harbaugh’s physical philosophy. Additionally, the unit features Caleb Murphy, who was re-signed in March 2026 to provide specialized depth and high-motor energy to a defense aiming for elite status.

Is Odell returning to New York?
While for now it’s mere speculation, a return of the wide receiver to the Big Apple remains a possibility. Of course, Odell Beckham Jr. might have a different role on the team, given that players like Malik Nabers and Darius Slayton currently hold the advantage.
