The Washington Commanders have had a rollercoaster ride this NFL offseason, especially on their wide receivers corp. It all started when they made a blockbuster move to bring Deebo Samuel to the team. Then, a contract dispute with Terry McLaurin stopped the joy on its tracks. During a recent practice, Noah Brown had to be stretchered off the field, but now, there are news regarding his status. Jayden Daniels must be thrilled to hear the latest reports.
Labeled by head coach Dan Quinn as a “dog-ass competitor,” Brown is a warrior and an important piece for this offense. Per John Keim’s report, it’s been revealed that the voices inside the building think it is not a serious injury.
This will be gladly received by the coaching staff and Jayden Daniels, that have not seen their best option, Terry McLaurin, during OTAs and mandatory minicamps. ‘Scary’ Terry is in the middle of a holdout as he is seeking a new contract with the team. However, negotiations have stalled.
Terry McLaurin is not only a receiver, but a captain
McLaurin has been nothing short of amazing since being drafted by the Commanders way back in 2019. His rookie year ended with 919 yards and 7 touchdowns. Since then, he has amassed five straight 1,000-yard seasons and scored at least 4 TDs in every single one of them.

However, last year was something else. He racked up 1,096 yards, but scored a staggering 13 touchdowns. McLaurin made his second Pro-Bowl and was selected to the NFL All-Pro second team. He feels like he deserves a massive contract and it’s hard to argue that. McLaurin is a leader on and off the field for Washington and is beloved by the fanbase.

Washington could have a three-headed monster
The Commanders need McLaurin back. If they can have him as the first option, Deebo Samuel as a versatile chess piece, and Noah Brown as a deep threat, they will be a massive problem. Not to mention, Luke McCaffrey and Michael Gallup are still on the roster.
Jayden Daniels is entering his sophomore year. Fresh off a historic rookie season, he will try to avoid the infamous second-year slump. Having these options, plus veteran Zach Ertz at tight end is a great way to help him out. The Commanders feel they are close to getting to the Super Bowl, so they might as well go all in.
