Tom Brady made lots of players happy by helping them win Super Bowls. One of them had three attempts to win an NFL ring but only by playing with the G.O.A.T was he able to win it. It was on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, during Covid-19 season. Now, he is calling it a career.
It’s defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, who hasn’t played in the NFL after Super Bowl LVII two and a half years ago, has announced his retirement. This is not shocking news, after all, he hasn’t played in a while and he is 38 years old.
Suh was a top-tier talent in the NFL. He is a 5x Pro Bowler and and 3x first team All-Pro. He had time to play in Detroit, Miami, Los Angeles (Rams), Tampa Bay, and Philadelphia. He was one of the best in every team he played in.
Brady was Suh’s dream and nightmare
Ndamukong Suh played on three Super Bowls. One of them was against Brady and the New England Patriots. Suh was playing for the Rams at that time, alongside Aaron Donald. However, Tom Brady overcame that elite defense to win that battle.

Ndamukong Suh #93 of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers warms up prior to the game against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on January 02, 2022 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
How does the saying goes? If you can’t beat them, join them. Suh didn’t do exactly that, as he was in the Bucs before Brady arrived. However, when the quarterback signed for Tampa Bay, Suh must’ve rejoiced. Soon enough, he had his Super Bowl ring wrapped around his finger.

Suh’s retirement came in a special day
The date where Suh announced his retirement was really special. “It’s the day I said goodbye to my father, the man who raised me, shaped me, challenged me, and believed in me before I believed in myself,” Suh wrote on a social media post. “He wasn’t just a dad. He was my idol, my coach, and my anchor […] Before he passed, he gave me one final piece of advice, ‘It’s time to let football go. You’ve done everything you set out to do. Now it’s time for the next chapter.’”
While it might or might not be calling, Suh will at least get some consideration to be a Hall of Famer in five years. Canton is not out of the question for a player who spent 13 years giving his all to the teams he repped and doing it at the highest of levels.
