What the Washington Commanders accomplished last NFL season left many observers surprised. The challenge now is to prove it wasn’t a fluke — a task that won’t be easy, especially if Jayden Daniels doesn’t have all of his weapons available, particularly those who played a key role in last year’s success.
Explosive wide receiver Terry McLaurin still doesn’t have his contract situation resolved with the franchise, leaving his future with Dan Quinn’s team uncertain. Far from being satisfied with the current scenario, frustration is growing within his camp.
In a recent conversation with the media, the former Ohio State Buckeyes standout expressed his dissatisfaction with how things are being handled, as well as the uncertainty surrounding what the near future holds for his situation.
“I’ve been pretty frustrated, I’m not gonna lie,” McLaurin said, via JP Finlay of NBC Washington. “Everything that has transpired up to this point has been disappointing and frustrating.

Terry McLaurin #17 of the Washington Commanders celebrates a touchdown with Jayden Daniels #5 during the first quarter against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium on November 03, 2024 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
“I’ve wanted to continue my career here, created my life here. My wife and I bought our first home here so this is somewhere where I’ve always wanted to be. Just to see how things have played out is disappointing.”

Will McLaurin show up for Minicamp?
Terry McLaurin’s unresolved contract situation with the Commanders — and the uncertainty surrounding his short-term future — has left his participation in the upcoming minicamp still unconfirmed.
“I haven’t decided that yet,” McLaurin said. “I’m trying to take things day by day. I think that’s the disappointing part where I was hoping up until this point that things would clear up more than they have. I haven’t made that decision yet. I just want to see how the rest of this week goes and take it day by day from there.”
If his situation with the team remains unresolved, McLaurin would undoubtedly be a significant loss for the Commanders’ offense — a unit that had placed a considerable portion of its hopes for success this season on his contributions.
