Ahead of a new NFL season, the Green Bay Packers are once again one of those teams that naturally come up in the title conversation. That’s well understood in Wisconsin — especially by one of Jordan Love’s key offensive teammates, who is dreaming of capping the year with a Super Bowl victory.
Josh Jacobs arrived at Lambeau Field last season with one clear goal: to help take his team as far as possible. Unfortunately for him, the dream of lifting the Vince Lombardi Trophy came up short — but he’s hopeful he can make it a reality in the near future.
As most teams across the league begin making their first offseason moves, the former Raiders running back spoke to the media and stated that, from now on, his main goal is to win a Super Bowl with the Packers.
“I feel like I had a good year, but I feel like I still left a lot on the table,” Jacobs said, via the team’s website. “For me, it’s just trying to come in and chase that No. 1 spot and raise a Super Bowl (trophy) at the end of the day. That’s the only thing that’s really on my mind.”

Josh Jacobs on the value of running backs
Although his final months with the Raiders didn’t reflect the level of talent he possesses, Josh Jacobs knows he now has a unique opportunity to accomplish great things with the Packers.

The running back is part of a select group of players — like Derrick Henry and Saquon Barkley — who, after switching teams, have significantly elevated their performance.
“I feel like everything in football, and really in life, it comes full circle,” he said. “Besides the quarterback, we touch the ball more than anybody else on the field, so we have the most opportunities to create and be special, so I’m proud of a lot of these guys who stepped up and showed their versatility and played good.”
Key additions for the Packers
The arrival of Aaron Banks from the 49ers, along with newly drafted Anthony Belton, is a clear indication that the Green Bay Packers are prioritizing the protection of high-caliber players like Josh Jacobs.
“I always tell them, ‘Shoot, just get on somebody, I’ll make you right.’ Literally,” said Jacobs of Green Bay’s offensive line. “I feel like it’s a partnership at the end of the day. I can’t do my job without them and when they do their job, I make them look good. So that’s all part of it.”
