New York Giants and New York Jets meet in Week 1 of the NFL Preseason 2021. This game will be held at MetLife Stadium today,August 14 at 7:30 PM (ET). Here is all the related information about this NFL Preseason game including the preview, storylines, predictions, odds and how to watch in the US.

It is confirmed that Daniel Jones (Giants QB) will not play against the Jets in the first game of the preseason. Coach Joe Judge (Giants Coach) said Mike Glennon will be the starting quarterback for this game. But the Coach also indicated, in a press conference, that he expects most of the roster to see action during the preseason.

Last season was a failure, another one, for the Jets with 2 wins and 14 losses. The second worst record in the entire league, only behind the Jaguars with 1-15. The key to the preseason for the Jets is testing new players and check who will play during the regular season.

New York Giants vs New York Jets: Storylines

Matt Peart and David Sills are two players the Giants could try in the preseason. Peart is an offensive tackle out of Uconn with an impressive 48 game record in 4 years of college football. Sills is a recognized wide receiver byhis good numbers with Southern California in the NCAA and is the kind of player the Giants need.

The Jets have several names that need to be calibrated during the 2021 NFL Preseason. One of them is wide receiver D.J. Montgomery. He comes from the Cleveland Browns who didn’t use him, but Montgomery will have to earn his spot against the team veterans.

The Giants have to show they have solid defense and offense against the Jets. The rivalry of the city is a serious thing. But the preseason is just a small sample of what they will do in the regular season. The preseason is shorter than previous years, but three weeks is more than enough to gear up for the upcoming season.
