Andy Reid and Brett Veach admitted a few days ago at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis that the Kansas City Chiefs had no time to waste if they wanted to keep competing for the Super Bowl. After the painful loss to the Eagles, there was never any doubt about the plan of action.

Obviously, the main story was the future of Travis Kelce. The tight end has confirmed that he will not retire, so the tight end position is set. However, there is still a lot of work to be done on many spots of the roster.

The second critical point was the offensive line to protect Patrick Mahomes. That situation is almost resolved since Trey Smith was tagged, Creed Humphrey is under contract, Kingsley Suamataia would replace Joe Thuney, and Ronnie Stanley continues to be a strong option to become the new left tackle.

Now, the next step is to strengthen the supporting cast with several signings. In a key move to achieve this, Brett Veach is leveraging all his tools before the start of free agency.

According to a report by Tom Pelissero, the Kansas City Chiefs have tendered punter Matt Araiza. ā€œThe Chiefs have tendered punter Matt Araiza, an exclusive rights free agent. The tender is worth $960,000.ā€
