NFL News: Andy Reid and Chiefs might have found star player to win Super Bowl alongside Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce

The Kansas City Chiefs may have just added the final piece to their championship puzzle. With Andy Reid at the helm and stars like Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce already in place, a new rookie standout could be the key to keeping the dynasty alive.

Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs may have found the missing piece to win the Super Bowl again. During his podcast New Heights, Travis Kelce stated that Josh Simmons is a future Hall of Fame player.

“I don’t think we’re going to have to wait and see. I think it’s signed, sealed and delivered. This guy is going to be a Hall of Famer. Something tells me he’s already there.”

Simmons was selected by the Chiefs with the No. 32 pick in the first round of the 2025 Draft. After the debacle against the Eagles and the departure of Joe Thuney, the priority was to strengthen the offensive line to protect Patrick Mahomes.

Who did the Chiefs pick in the 2025 Draft?

The Kansas City Chiefs picked seven players in the 2025 Draft: Josh Simmons (OT), Omarr Norman-Lott (DT), Ashton Gillotte (EDGE), Nohl Williams (CB), Jalen Royals (WR), Jeffrey Bassa (LB), and Brashard Smith (RB).

In Simmons’ specific case, the big question is the serious knee injury he suffered last year while playing for Ohio State. Without that setback, he likely would have been the first tackle off the board.
