Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs can be at ease regarding the health status of their first-round pick, Josh Simmons. The player stated that, after his last season with Ohio State, he hasnāt felt any setbacks with his patellar tendon injury ahead of the start of rookie minicamp.
āWhatever the trainers will have me doing is what Iāll be doing. Iām really just in the playbook and trying to take mental reps. Obviously what Iām allowed to do, Iām going to do 100 percent. Iāll be getting my toes wet, but, right now, everythingās on rehab.ā
Simmons is considered a key piece for Patrick Mahomes to make another run at the Super Bowl, especially considering that the offensive line was one of the Chiefsā weaknesses during the 2024 season.
Who is the new tackle for Chiefs?
Josh Simmons is the new offensive tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs. According to many experts, if he hadnāt suffered the injury last October against Oregon, he would have been the first player at his position to be drafted.
āI just had to kind of grow up and just put all that frustration into rehab and just get after it. Something like this is not easy, but you definitely just got to come in and attack it like hell every day. Just really go hard in rehab. Thatās kind of how you have to do something like this.ā
