NFL News: Ben Roethlisberger sends strong warning to Mike Tomlin and Steelers about Aaron Rodgers

Ben Roethlisberger sent a strong warning to the Pittsburgh Steelers during his Footbahlin podcast. For the black and gold legend, it’s time to give Aaron Rodgers an ultimatum.

“At some point, they need to set a deadline. Because, at some point, Aaron needs to start learning the offense and get with the guys. What is the cutoff date? I don’t know. Only coach Tomlin, Mr. Rooney and Omar Khan know that.”

The former Super Bowl champion with the Packers is still weighing his decision due to personal issues within his inner circle. However, no one knows how long the Steelers are willing to wait for him.

Is Aaron Rodgers retiring?

According to Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers need to consider the possibility that Aaron Rodgers might be thinking about retirement. If the quarterback isn’t fully committed to what he wants, Pittsburgh can’t wait until July or August.

“At some point you have to say: what’s best for our team is probably to move on. That might sound crazy because it’s Aaron Rodgers but, at some point, you start questioning: does Aaron really want to play?”
