Ahead of the Dallas Cowboysâ last NFL season, one of the biggest stories revolved around the Starâs team and one of its top players, CeeDee Lamb. Fortunately for both sides, they managed to reach an agreement, but it was far from an easy process.
The good news, despite the less-than-expected results for Jerry Jonesâ franchise, is that Lamb was able to secure his contract extension, giving the team a key offensive weapon for Dak Prescott.
In a recent statement on his YouTube channel, the former Oklahoma Sooners player referred to those uncertain moments, especially after missing much of the preparation period, which may have affected his performance throughout the season.
âHonestly, it was the worst, it was the worst ever,â Lamb said in the video. âFor those who know me, they know how serious I take this football stuff âŠ

âFor me to miss out on the right preparation with my team, my quarterback, my guys, building those bonds off the field, whatever the case may be, I missed out on that ⊠It was a unique situation. That was the first time I ever did that, and Iâm praying itâs the last. It should be.â

Is this the redemption moment for Lambâs Cowboys?
The Dallas Cowboys are gearing up for a strong campaign under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer. With hopes high, much depends on Dak Prescott staying healthy throughout the season, providing the leadership and firepower needed to make a serious impact in a highly competitive division.
Adding to the offensive weapons, George Pickens joins the wide receiver corps, bringing fresh energy and potential to the mix. Alongside established star CeeDee Lamb, this duo is expected to elevate the Cowboysâ passing game and challenge defenses across the league.
The teamâs ultimate goal is clear: to defeat the Washington Commanders, Philadelphia Eagles, and New York Giants in the NFC East. With talent on offense and a renewed coaching staff, Dallas aims to return as serious contenders and make a deep playoff push.
