The Dallas Cowboys felt the absence of star quarterback Dak Prescott last season when he suffered an injury that sidelined him early for the rest of the year. Owner Jerry Jones‘ franchise is preparing for the 2025 NFL season, and there is news about its top player.
It will be a different season for the Cowboys after the end of head coach Mike McCarthy’s tenure. Prescott has been recovering from surgery for some time now. As time passes, the anticipation of seeing the star back on the field is growing.
Jones is building a roster that will be expected to return to the playoffs after several disappointing years. America’s Team will rely on its quarterback, who remains the highest-paid player at his position in the entire league. Prescott, for his part, has made a bold admission about his comeback.
Dak Prescott’s bold admission
“If I had to play a game today, I definitely could do that. It’s about moving forward healthy to make sure I can play 17-20 times when the time is right,” Prescott admitted in an interview with Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

“I’m getting close to where I want to be. I don’t want to put a percentage on it. I know we got team activities coming up. I imagine myself being involved in some sort, if not all. Then again, understanding my age and what I’ve been through, it’s about being ready for the fall. I’m not rushing anything, but I’m where I want to be,” he said.
