Undoubtedly, one of the most significant moves in the recent NFL offseason was Joey Bosa’s arrival to the Buffalo Bills. Now a new teammate of Josh Allen, the DE left the Los Angeles Chargers after several years and is preparing in the best way to make a big impact next season alongside his new team.
A key position arrived in Orchard Park to join Sean McDermott’s roster, significantly strengthening a unit that will need to rise to the occasion if the team is to once again be considered a true title contender.
That said, time will tell if the Bills truly have what it takes to reach the long-awaited Super Bowl. Bosa has showed that he’s ready—now the question is, can he actually achieve it this year?
Bosa reflects on his position change
Bosa doesn’t just see his arrival in Buffalo as a new opportunity to join a title-contending team, but also as a chance to return to a 4-3 scheme — something he hadn’t played in during his last few seasons in Los Angeles.

Josh Allen #17 of the Buffalo Bills hands off the ball to teammate James Cook #4 in the third quarter against the Denver Broncos during the AFC Wild Card Playoffs at Highmark Stadium on January 12, 2025 in Orchard Park, New York.
During a recent conversation with the media, the talented edge rusher addressed the situation, sending a subtle message to his former team, the Chargers, where he clearly indicated he hadn’t felt comfortable in the role he was being used in.

“It’s exciting for me, no more outside linebacker. I’m ready to get my hand back in the dirt, get back to the six technique and rush the passer,” Bosa said.
He also added: “Unfortunately I’ve missed a few reps during this offseason. But I’ve been doing my best to get mental reps.”
Can the Bills bounce back next season?
The Buffalo Bills are entering the new NFL season with one goal in mind: reaching the Super Bowl. After falling short once again, this time to the Kansas City Chiefs, the urgency has never been higher in Orchard Park. The window is still open—but narrowing.
Winning key divisional matchups in the AFC East will be crucial if Buffalo wants to secure home-field advantage and avoid another uphill playoff battle. With rivals like the Dolphins and Jets improving, every game will matter.
The addition of Joey Bosa brings a much-needed boost to the defense, while MVP candidate Josh Allen continues his pursuit of a first Super Bowl ring. Expectations are sky-high, and the pressure is on for Buffalo to finally break through.
