Tom Brady became the greatest player in NFL history with the New England Patriots. After being the 199th pick in the 2000 draft, his rise was meteoric, winning the Super Bowl six times with the franchise.

Despite being a solid prospect at Michigan during his college football career, no one predicted he would become a legend. When an injury to Drew Bledsoe opened the door for him, the GOAT did not miss the opportunity.

Although the end of his relationship with the Patriots and Bill Belichick wasn’t the best, finishing his career with another ring playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the passage of time has smoothed things over, and now the team is preparing to pay him a great tribute.

When will Patriots unveil Tom Brady’s statue at Gillette Stadium?

The New England Patriots have confirmed that they will unveil Tom Brady’s statue on August 8 at Gillette Stadium, before the preseason game against Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders.

A few months ago, when Brady was inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame, owner Robert Kraft had already announced that the statue was a promise he was going to keep.

“We wanted the greatest to be the first to receive an even greater honor. So, we commissioned a local sculptor to create a larger-than-life bronze statue to perpetuate the legendary legacy of this once-in-a-lifetime player. Tom’s figure will stand 12-foot tall. It will stand alone in the plaza outside of the Hall of Fame to symbolize his position, not as the greatest in franchise history, but the greatest in all of NFL history.”
