It’s no secret that the Pittsburgh Steelers are looking for a franchise quarterback and time is running out before the start of free agency. The decision is crucial for the team to be able to compete for the Super Bowl again.

Although the answer could be inside the building with Russell Wilson or Justin Fields, several rumors have pointed to a potential surprise considering that veterans like Aaron Rodgers or Sam Darnold will be available.

Rodgers will be released by the Jets, and the former Green Bay Packers star would be looking for one last opportunity to say goodbye. However, it seems that Pittsburgh will not sign him, despite Tomlin always having admired the player.

Will Steelers sign Aaron Rodgers?

No. According to the latest report from Gerry Dulac, Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers are not interested in Aaron Rodgers. Even though he could be a low-cost option, similar to what happened with Russell Wilson in 2024, that will not happen.

Additionally, Dulac confirmed that Kirk Cousins is also not in the Steelers’ plans. First, the Atlanta Falcons have not decided whether they will release him, but even if that occurs, Pittsburgh won’t make a move.
