Deshaun Watson is going to be one of the hottest names in the NFL this upcoming offseason and everybody is trying to guess where he will play next after spending the first four years of his career with the Houston Texans.
The young quarterback agreed to a multi-year extension before the start of this season and he was expected to lead his team to the promised land before Bill O’Brien decided to dismantle the squad and leave the 25-year-old alone at NRG Stadium.
Now Watson has officially requested a trade from the Texans and rumors have flooded the internet, suggesting his next destination and what’s next for the player after his tenure in H-Town is over.
Ian Rapoport reveals how many teams have asked about Deshaun Watson
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network recently talked about this situation, explaining what’s going on in Houston right now and how the NFL is preparing to try to unlock negotiations for Watson after the player expressed his desire to leave the team. The insider revealed that over half of the league has inquired about Watson’s availability.
This man has everything to be successful in the league. He had impressive numbers this year despite the Texans shipping DeAndre Hopkins away and making him lose some of the pieces that took them to compete in the AFC.
The former Clemson player is ready to start a new chapter in his career and even though he’s been linked with a move to the Jets or Dolphins, he will probably have more options to pick in the offseason.
