Patrick Mahomes only needed five words to let Chiefs know what he’s looking for with Andy Reid and Travis Kelce in 2025

Patrick Mahomes doesn't take losses well. In a Kansas City Chiefs post, he sent a message loud and clear on his intentions for the next NFL season alongside Travis Kelce and Andy Reid.

The Kansas City Chiefs are the ‘team to beat‘ in the AFC since 2018. Never failing to get to at least the conference final, Patrick Mahomes‘ era has been very fruitful for the team. However, last year they lost the Super Bowl and that didn’t go well with the quarterback. As he prepares for another season with Travis Kelce and Andy Reid, he had five words to make his intentions known.

The Chiefs posted pictures of both Mahomes and backup QB Gardner Minshew. Both players had a board titled ‘2025 Roll Call’. Then, they wrote their nicknames, position, NFL experience, hobbies, and goals for the next season. Mahomes’ goal, simple: Get a Super Bowl win.

If you were wondering, Minshew’s goal was as clear but less specific, the magic moustache said his goal is to ‘win‘. Oh, and apparently Minshew’s nickname is ‘Carddawg‘, whatever that means. However, if Mahomes says he will go for a Super Bowl, you have to take him seriously.

Mahomes’ best weapon is maybe on his last dance

Andy Reid is one of the best head coaches in the NFL. However, one of his biggest legacy-statements is the offense he has developed with Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce.

Travis Kelce is a Chiefs legend

Kelce is coming off one of his worst statistical seasons since 2014 but how can you blame him? The guy is 35 years old and he still went to the Pro Bowl and had 823 yards. Much was said about his future, but he opted to return for at least one more season. The rumblings inside the building are that this will be his last dance.

Kansas City is trying to deny Father Time

Father time is undefeated. It is still unforgiving and in the NFL, it’s determined to deny any dynasty to last. The Chiefs are now battling not only the other NFL teams, but time.

Kansas City has been the best team in the league since 2018. The Chiefs have gone to five Super Bowls, winning three of them. They are the modern-day villain of the league. They want to keep it that way but now are running against time too.
