2021 has probably been the worst year in Deshaun Watson's career. Besides submitting a trade request to the Houston Texans and failing to get a snap in the 2021 NFL regular season, he was accused by more than 20 women of sexual assault.

It was clear that Watson's future would no longer be in Houston, but the franchise struggled to find a trade partner. However, this situation could suddenly come to an end this week.

According to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, the quarterback could be traded to the Miami Dolphins in the next few days. The South Florida franchise has been frequently linked with Watson this summer, and it seems like a deal will finally materialize soon.

Texans reportedly get close to trading Deshaun Watson to the Dolphins

After long months of speculation and constant rumors, Deshaun Watson could finally get his highly desired trade when nobody saw it coming. The Dolphins were heavily linked with him in the summer, but nothing really happened so far.

But, if this interest is real and they actually acquire Watson, it would mean they don't trust the 2020 first-round pick Tua Tagovailoa anymore. The Fins' interest in the Texans star seemed nothing but gossip until now.

Mark Berman of Fox 26 has added that, even if the deal isn't completed this week, the trade could be done before the trade deadline on November 2. The Texans, however, will probably get something interesting in exchange as they were unwilling to trade Watson so easily.
