The last few years haven’t gone as planned for the Jacksonville Jaguars — not only in terms of performance, but also results. The constant turnover of coaches, staffs, and systems has made it difficult for Trevor Lawrence to truly find his footing in the NFL.
Now entering his fifth year in the league, the former Clemson signal-caller has expressed excitement about this new chapter under Liam Coen, in whom he places his trust to lead the team effectively as head coach.
During a recent appearance on the ‘Pardon My Take‘ podcast, Lawrence spoke about the relationship he’s begun to build with his new coaching staff, placing special emphasis on the offensive approach the Jaguars plan to implement starting in Week 1.
“I really feel good about the situation we’re in. I love Coach [Liam] Coen and the whole staff and everyone, all the guys that were brought in free agency. Just good dudes, good players, too. But I really feel like we’ve done some great things this offseason,” he said.

“I have a lot of confidence in this system, it is tried and true,” Lawrence said, adding, “it’s a great system for quarterbacks.”

Time to make a statement
It’s been four years since Trevor Lawrence burst onto the NFL scene, and many still believe the talented quarterback has yet to fully live up to expectations. With a new season just around the corner, Lawrence knows this is a prime opportunity to finally deliver.
“I feel like this is like getting into my prime. I got a lot of good years left ahead of me and I need to really turn it on. And I think what we’ve built around me and what they’ve done this offseason has been a great start.”
With a new head coach, a new general manager, and a wave of fresh talent added to the roster, could this finally be the season where Lawrence shines and delivers the kind of results this franchise has long hoped for?
