Although there are still no certainties about what will happen with Aaron Rodgers‘ future, and while the chance of him heading to the Big Apple seems unlikely, the New York Giants are not resting on their laurels and continue to strengthen their roster for the upcoming NFL season. Along with the arrival of Jameis Winston as QB, they’ve added another offensive player to potentially help the former Browns quarterback.
Who has finally joined the Giants to be coached by Brian Daboll is the experienced wide receiver Zach Pascal. Coming from the Arizona Cardinals, the veteran signed a one-year deal and adds to the recent arrival of Winston.
The news was reported by NFL insider Mike Garafolo, who, through his official X (formerly Twitter) account, provided more details regarding the arrival of the former Colts and Eagles player to the NFC East.
“The #Giants are signing veteran WR Zach Pascal to a one-year deal, source says. Visited earlier this week.” the insider reported via @MikeGarafolo.

Zach Pascal #0 of the Arizona Cardinals prepares for a game against the Washington Commanders at State Farm Stadium on September 29, 2024 in Glendale, Arizona.
With this move, the New York Giants become the sixth team the WR has been a part of since entering the NFL. Previously, he wore the jerseys of the Washington Redskins, Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Eagles, and the mentioned Arizona Cardinals.

Winston’s arrival in New York
The Giants are one of the few teams still in the running to try and secure the arrival of Aaron Rodgers. However, while waiting to see what happens with the veteran former Packers quarterback, New York signed another QB for the 2025 NFL season.
Jameis Winston, with a vast career in the league, was finally one of the choices made by Daboll and the front office to join the QB corps. The former Browns quarterback agreed to a deal worth $8 million over two years.

Could Rodgers join the Giants?
Although it seems unlikely that the former Jets and Packers player will join New York for the upcoming season, given the latest reports regarding conversations between him and the Steelers, the Giants are still staying hopeful about what may happen from here on out.
For this reason, to leave nothing to chance, the arrival of Winston means having an experienced QB who could either step in as a starter or serve as a reliable backup for whoever comes in.
