Tension is rising ahead of Game 5 of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs series between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Florida Panthers. At the end of Game 4, star forward Matthew Tkachuk and right winger William Nylander had a heated exchange that’s only adding fuel to the fire in this series.
These kinds of situations are bound to happen in a thrilling series like the one between the Panthers and the Maple Leafs, two of the most exciting teams in the NHL postseason. Game 4 even ended in a massive scuffle after Max Domi delivered a hit from behind on Aleksander Barkov, sparking fights among all the players.
Following the violent end to the game, Tkachuk issued a direct warning to Nylander amid the chaos, as cameras caught him saying, “I am going to get you, I am going to get you.” The remark came in the middle of a brawl between the two teams.
In response to that situation, Nylander didn’t stay quiet and has answered Tkachuk’s warning in the past few hours, further fueling the intense battle atmosphere surrounding the upcoming game between the Panthers and the Maple Leafs, who will face off to break the 2-2 tie in the series.
