The saga of Kylian Mbappés future continues to fill the headlines in France and the world over. Mbappé has yet to agree on a new deal with PSG, with one year remaining on his current contract the French club stands to risk losing one of the world’s top players on a free transfer.

On Canal + in France, famous player agent, Bruno Satin, was quick to mention that he had heard that Mbappé had a deal in place with Real Madrid already. “My feeling is that he’s ready to do it… I also have information which says that Mbappe and his family have an agreement with Real Madrid.” Satin told Canal + in an interview.

As recently as a few weeks ago there was a report that Mbappé had already told his people to go house hunting in Madrid. While Mbappé’s future at PSG looks in doubt, Real Madrid are extremely hopeful to sign the World Cup winner.

As noted by Bruno Satin, “At first, there will be an agreement on the player’s part, but there’s also a need for Paris Saint-Germain to agree…Obviously, the Qatari owners and PSG haven’t decided to move Mbappe on and he could, therefore, finish his contract and leave for nothing.”

That is the biggest concern for PSG at the moment, Mbappé would need to hold out one more season before moving to Spain, unless Real Madrid agrees to pay a transfer fee. Given the clubs current financial situation, a record-breaking transfer looks out of the question.

Kylian Mbappé would most likely command over 150 million euros transfer fee, Florentino Perez, Real Madrid President, stated recently after the Super League failed to materialize, “signings like Mbappe and Haaland would be impossible…the Super League came to alleviate the economic damage this season. If Mbappé doesn’t come this year, no one is going to shoot himself. People know how I am and if things are not done it is because they cannot. But the members and the fans, it is wrong for me to say so, they are happy.”

For Mbappé it will be a busy summer as he will partake in the Euro Cup and until his contract situation is resolved will be the subject of many transfer rumors. PSG is hoping to resign their star player to at least be able to sell him in the future and not lose him to a free transfer.

Real Madrid is said to be house cleaning during the offseason in an effort to cut costs but at the same time has two big targets which are Mbappé and Erling Haaland, both of which would require record breaking transfer fees.
