The 2020/21 UEFA Champions League semifinals began in an exciting week that left plenty of expectation for the second leg games. Four teams are still alive in the tournament, but we're getting closer to seeing two of them being eliminated.
Bayern Munich can no longer retain their crown. Hansi Flick's side seemed to be in a convincing path towards a back-to-back championship, but a shocking PSG victory in the first leg sealed Mauricio Pochettino's boys a semi-final spot despite losing in Paris.
It’s time to break down how the four teams remaining in the race for the title, and the next dates of the competition. The teams that are competing in the semifinals are: Paris-Saint Germain, Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Chelsea.
2020/21 UEFA Champions League knockout stage format
After the Round of 16 was played, the restrictions disappeared for the rest of the teams still in the competition. The draw of the quarter-finals took place on March 19. The First leg of the Quarter-finals will be played on April 6 and April 7, while the Second leg on April 13 and April 14.
Then the First leg of the Semi-finals are set for April 27 and April 28, and the return games on May 4 and May 5. The UEFA Champions League Final is scheduled for May 29, at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey.
