We are just moments away from one of the most anticipated events in world soccer—the UEFA Champions League Final. This year’s clash features two surprise contenders, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan, who are set to make history at Germany’s Allianz Arena, home of the final. However, scenes outside the stadium have taken a troubling turn, as fan clashes are being reported.
Earlier in the day, both sets of supporters of PSG and Inter brought a festive atmosphere to the streets of Munich. Accompanied by police escorts, they marched peacefully through the city, creating a vibrant pre-match scene. But as kickoff approached, tensions escalated.
According to reports, trouble began when an irritant gas was released inside a metro station, sparking chaos and a heavy police response. The incident disrupted transport services and created a tense atmosphere across the city.
What started as a single incident quickly spiraled. Authorities issued an emergency alert and activated crowd-control measures, including halting sections of metro service. This triggered massive congestion and forced fans to navigate blocked routes and stalled transportation systems.

“Due to an emergency braking at the Universität subway station, delays occurred on lines U3 and U6. Due to the #UCLfinal and high passenger volume, we are supporting the MVG in taking the necessary measures.”
