Mohamed Salah is in terrific form again. The Egyptian winger has had a tremendous start to the 2021-22 season, scoring 17 goals in 12 games for Liverpool between Premier League and Champions League affairs.

The 29-year-old is proving to be one of the world's best at the moment and he seems to be convinced about that given his salary demands to stay at Anfield. Salah's contract with the Reds expires in 2023 and the club is struggling to tie him down to a new deal.

Needless to say, he is a key player and a fan favorite in Liverpool, whose manager Jurgen Klopp constantly suggests how happy he is to have him on his squad. But contract extension talks have been stalling, and a number of European heavyweights are keeping an eye on his situation.

Mohamed Salah's demanding condition to stay in Liverpool amid PSG, City, Real Madrid interest

Salah has played a pivotal role in Liverpool's successes over the last few years, helping them return to domestic and continental prominence. And he continues delivering fantastic performances, but it's uncertain how much longer he'll do that in Merseyside.

According to Football Insider, he has told the club what he wants in order to stay in Anfield beyond 2023. The report claims that Mohamed Salah is asking for a mind-blowing £500,000-a-week salary to continue in Liverpool.

That would not only make him the Reds' highest-paid player by far but also one of the world's top earners, a category Salah believes to fit in. Well, his fantastic form since he joined Liverpool in 2017 and his latest performances - including a hat-trick in the 5-0 win over Manchester United - may provide him reasons to understand that.

The ball seems to be in Liverpool's court. It seems unlikely they won't reach an agreement with Salah, but they can't expect him to lower his expectations that much. Because, if not, Salah could choose between PSG, Manchester City, and Real Madrid, who have all been linked with the winger.
