Euro 2020 has just begun, but the group of death brings us can’t-miss games early in the tournament. Portugal and Germany will face each other on Matchday 2 at Allianz Arena in Munich aiming to grab the three points to strengthen themselves on the road to the trophy.

Fernando Santos‘ boys have begun their path on the right foot by claiming a late 3-0 win over Hungary. Raphael Guerreiro and Cristiano Ronaldo‘sbrace handed Portugal three necessary points to kick off their continental journey strongly.

On the other hand, the hosts were stunned by France at home in their Euro 2020 debut. Joachim Low‘s team now needs to bounce back before it’s too late, turning this match into a crucial one for their European aspirations. Will they upset Portugal to get back on track?

Possible lineups in Portugal vs Germany

Fernando Santos will probably line up a similar starting eleven from the previous round, withNuno Mendes being the only concern so far as he trained separately on Thursday. However, there wouldn’t be further changes in Portugal’s starting eleven, with Cristiano Ronaldo leading the pack.

Meanwhile, Joachim Low wouldn’t make many changes either, despite the loss against France. Leroy Sané could see first-team action, though, replacing Kai Havertz, while it remains uncertain if Low will giveTimo Werneran opportunity.
