The German Bundesliga season is set to kick off on August 13th, 2021, and Bayern Munich may have two new faces on their roster before the start of the season. It’s no mystery that Barcelona is in the red, red ink that is, due to a woeful financial situation and the Spanish club needs to unload players to balance their books.

According to a report out of Spanish newspaper Marca two players from Barcelona could be making a move to Germany if the price is right. Barcelona is looking to sell as many players as possible and have transfer listed various members of their squad.

In this case the players in question are USMNT defender Sergiño Dest and full-back/ midfielder Sergi Roberto. What are their chances of leaving Barcelona? Find out below.

Sergiño Dest to Bayern Munich

This is not the first time Bayern Munich has gone after Sergiño Dest, they did so when he broke onto the scene at Ajax two seasons ago, the young player and Ajax choose to keep him at the club. Dest has reportedly turned down three offers this offseason from Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, and Monaco.

Dest had a tough first season at Barcelona, mixing some good performances with some rather shaky outings. He did manage to score 2 goals for the club in 30 appearances but was at times in and out of the lineup. Dest did finish the season strong and while the US international has committed to stay at Barcelona, the club needs cash and a sale may have to happen. Bayern Munich may be too good to turn down for both club and player.

Sergi Roberto to Bayern Munich

Sergi Roberto is a different case, at 29-years of age and with 200 appearances for the club, Roberto may have to do Barcelona a solid and move to Bayern Munich to give the team a cash flow they badly need.

Roberto can play as a full back and would almost certainly be a squad player at Bayern. Basically, Roberto would have to take one for the team. Last season he played 15 games and scored 1 goal.
