The Formula 1 2021 campaign continues its course with the second Grand Prix Race of the year at Emilia Romagna. Following an impressive first race of the year in which Lewis Hamilton started off strongly, drivers will be back in action as the championship starts to advance.
The Bahrain Grand Prix was a magnificent way to begin the new championship, as the reigning champion clinched the win after dramatic final laps. A very entertaining, breathtaking race exceeded expectations as Max Verstappen and Hamilton fought for the first place until the very end.

2021 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix: Storylines
Three weeks after the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix, drivers return to action at Imola for the second event of the Formula 1 2021, which will have 21 more races throughout the year. The reigning champion Lewis Hamilton has already started off winning the first challenge afterentertaining final laps competing with Max Verstappen for the first spot.
Mercedes are once again expected to be dominating the standings, both the drivers table with their main superstar Hamiltonand the constructors’ as well, in which they finished atop in the last seven years. With Ferrari failing to be a strong contender in the last seasons, Red Bull are set to step up to finish Mercedes’ kingdom. However, Bahrain’s race proved how hard it will be.

Last year, the German team finished the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in great fashionclinching the first and second place. Mercedes also did greatin the first practices ahead of Sunday’s racewith Valteri Bottas finishing first and Hamilton second. On the other hand, Red Bull’s Verstappen and Checo Perez struggled and need to improve their pace in the qualifying. AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly was the surprise, as he finished FP2 third.
